According to a makeshift weather station cobbled together in the minutes leading up to the storm, the temperature in the North End dropped 32° in just 45 minutes Friday afternoon. That coincided with a 52% increase in humidity.

The park at Parcel 2 (dubbed "North Meadow") is now complete!

I swung by this afternoon to check it out. Other than the fact that it took me 3 minutes and 32 seconds to reach the park from the bus stop across the street on North Washington, and the exhaust and noise from traffic... the park was lovely! The flowers, seating, and signage all seemed well thought out and designed. (Especially the flowers - they really are lovely🌺)

We noticed that the public dock at Burroughs Wharf has been barricaded with plywood and a makeshift sign reading "DO NOT DOCK ANY BOATS DOCK IS DANGEROUS" had been affixed to the gangway.

Boston Fire reported smoke showing from the roof at approximately 5:45pm Wednesday evening which turned out to be a two alarm fire in the building.

Workers were busy shuttling water from Methuen to the North End to fill up the Mirabella Pools on Wednesday night. They told us it will take at least 18 truck loads. I didn't get a clear answer when I asked why they trucked it in from Methuen rather than use MWRA water 🤷‍♀️.

The MBTA unveiled its Bus Network Redesign Proposal yesterday. Among the proposed changes is the elimination of the #4 bus service whose inbound route ran along Commercial Street on weekday mornings - stopping at Hanover and Hull Streets.
