Update: There is lot's of misinformation swirling about this story and it's developing constantly.
Mendoza is still at large. Nobody knows how or why his arraignment appeared in the court system.
We're not going to try to keep up with it now that all the major outlets are covering it. If a North End-specific angle develops, we'll pick it back up.

Patrick Mendoza, owner of Monica's Trattoria, was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court yesterday for unlawful possession of a firearm or ammunition.
The arraignment comes one day after shots were fired outside of Modern Pastry by a suspect matching Mr Mendoza description (gray hair, braids, riding a bike).
Several sources have told us that Mendoza is still at large. Universalhub.com reports:
The Boston Municipal Court criminal docket for yesterday lists Mendoza being charged with illegal possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but law-enforcement spokespeople say they do not understand how that entry got into the system, since Mendoza has yet to be detained, let alone brought into court.

It’s about time. Him, his brother Frankie & George need to move and take the negativity with them. They have been involved in nighorhood fights, attacks on politicians, sexual harassment lawsuits etc . MENDOZA’S LEAVE NORTHEND

Get this white trash family out of the north end. Interesting to see all the bruins players distancing themselves from these criminals. Anyone who’s been around long enough knows this family are a bunch of scum bags.
Not only is this family a bunch of derelict, uneducated threats to society. So is Frankie Mendoza's family. His ex-wife Amanda Thacher is as low. Total scumbag and HUGE FRAUD !! She practices nefarious, illegal behavior , fraudulent life style!!!! Just like her ex-husband... so ,birds of a feather. North End will be better-lookin without all of them.
A few comments here are pretty hateful, but I let them go because: 1) They're relevant to the topic (at least tangentially) and 2) Strong emotional responses are reasonable considering what happened.
But if you start spewing nonsense about communists, I'm not going to publish it... especially if you don't use a real name associated with an account.
