Eliot school far outperforms city, state on MCAS - mostly makes up pandemic losses
The Eliot K8 Innovation school outperformed the State and City MCAS averages by a wide margin again in 2024. In fact, more students at the Eliot school meet or exceed expectations in Math and Reading than almost any other K8 school in the state.
Further, while scores at most districts in the state and schools in Boston lag far behind the benchmarks set in 2019, the Eliot school's tests show that students have largely made up for pandemic setbacks - or were never setback in the first place.

This is hopefully the last time the MCAS will ever be a thing. Make sure your voice is heard on this. I took this. It's stressful and doesn't do good I think. I really thought this would cost me my high school diploma especially being in special ed. The only worst thing ever about the entire school year. And it's a high school requirement so why do middle schoolers and elementary students have to take a exam like this My grades were always good except for literally the MCAS. Vote yes on 2. I'm happy to finally see this as a question.
There needs to be more things these days taught in school in general everywhere and more preventions for the kids to be safe from violence And same goes for my state of MA and Boston in all the schools here. Imagine needing to post a chart on here comparing scores and all.
